Welcome to our first Yacht Crew Uniforms Newsletter "Currents". Welcome to our first newsletter where we will share with you, updates on what is happening in the yachting industry here in Australia. We will advise you on visiting vessels and crews to the Gold Coast, cover local marina news, and what yacht jobs we currently have available. There is always something of interest going on in the white boat world, and we at Yacht Crew Australia will do our best to keep you informed on a regular basis. It is interesting how the “white boat” label on luxury yachts also describes blue boats of similar size. I first heard this when working for a marine lighting company in 2001. The company sales rep had just returned from a trip to Cairns saying it started at NQEA. That was how the boat builders and engineers differentiated between luxury yachts and commercial vessels in the yard said the rep. Dock wise transport recently delivered a well-travelled Westport build to the Port of Brisbane. MV Ubiquitous is once again, cruising the East Coast of Australia after an absence of four years. After a brief visit to the Gold Coast for refit options, she was bound for Sydney. Rumours are that the vessel will be spending time in the South Pacific islands. Warren Yacht, MV Flying Fish has just returned from a 7 week chartering stint in Sydney. From all accounts, it was a busy time on the harbour hosting celebrities and media identities. The Cairns registered Flying Fish, named after the Far North sugar centre of Flying Fish Point, now berthed at Marina Oceanus (formerly Marina Mirage) for sale through Geoff Lovett International. Finally, we would like to encourage you to come and visit us here in the marine village at Sanctuary Cove. Lisa has a new shipment of crew uniforms in the latest styles to consider for when you are looking to update your work-wear. We are open between 9 and 5 Monday to Friday and weekends by appointment.
